POLARIS ENTERS AGREEMENT WITH ROBBY GORDON

NASCAR and Off-Road racer to help with product development and marketing initiatives

Minneapolis, MN (March 30, 2009) – Polaris Industries today announced the company has entered into a marketing and product development agreement with famed NASCAR and three-time Baja 1000 Trophy Truck winner, Robby Gordon.

The three-year agreement includes Gordon providing insight on future products and promoting Polaris’ RANGER RZR Side-by-Sides. Gordon’s vast knowledge of off-road vehicles, from a racing perspective and through his product development experience gained from building his own trophy trucks and accessories with his company, Robby Gordon Off-Road, will be a valuable asset in creating and promoting new RANGER RZR Side-by-Sides and accessories.

“I am very excited to be involved with Polaris. They are the leading American manufacturer in consumer off-road vehicles. The RANGER RZR and the RANGER have set the standard in side-by-side vehicles. At Robby Gordon Off-road, we have built the fastest, most elite off-road vehicles in the world. We are excited to share this technology and knowledge with consumers through our partnership with Polaris,” said Robby Gordon.

A common name in NASCAR, Gordon grew up riding and racing off-road vehicles. He won the first off-road race he entered and went on to win various off-road championships. His passion for and success in off-road racing brought him to building his own trophy trucks and accessories, and creating Robby Gordon Off-Road, an aftermarket truck wheel, tire and accessory store. Gordon’s accomplishments include three Baja 1000 Trophy Truck victories and becoming the first American to win a daily stage of the Dakar Rally, when it was a 16-day 5,700-mile race from Barcelona, Spain to Dakar, Senegal, mostly in vehicles he built himself. Polaris believes Gordon’s off-road successes and product knowledge will be invaluable in the development and promotion of their RANGER RZR Side-by-Side business.

“Our relationship with Gordon is unique because he’ll not only promote our product but use his off-road expertise to help create future RANGER RZR vehicles and accessories,” said Matt Homan, vice president and general manager for Polaris’ Off-Road Division. “Coupling Gordon’s expertise in building and racing off-road vehicles, with the hottest-selling side-by-sides will ensure the RANGER RZR product line continues to be an undisputed leader both on the racing scene and in the marketplace.”

BRISTOL RACE REPORT

Charlotte, N.C. (March 23, 2009) – Robby Gordon Motorsports welcomed SPOT as a new sponsor of their NASCAR Sprint Cup Series program this weekend. SPOT, the world's first Satellite GPS Messenger, served as the primary sponsor for the No. 7 Toyota Camry in Sunday's Food City 500. With SPOT onboard, the No. 7 team tackled one of the toughest tracks on the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series schedule with their 21st-place finish.

Gordon started Sunday’s 500-lap event from 35th and immediately showed that he had a very strong race car. The handling was perfect on the No. 7 SPOT Camry in the early laps, and the team’s only concern was survival as it with every team that takes the green flag at Thunder Valley.

Gordon was able to quickly race his way into the top 30. As the run progressed, the handling on the SPOT Camry started to falter slightly. However, a caution on Lap 60 allowed the team to bring Gordon’s car down pit road to make minor adjustments to return the car to its earlier state.

As the race progressed, the crew continued to adjust on the car to help Gordon with his entry and exit in the corners during every stop. Each stop helped the handling of the No. 7. By Lap 215, Gordon was able to move the SPOT Camry into the top 20. Gordon’s car continued to show strong lap times, but the leader was moving through the field quickly during a long green-flag run. After a 5-lap battle, Gordon lost a lap to the leader on Lap 258. By that point, Gordon’s car started to develop a loose condition everywhere around the track, which the crew worked to quickly correct.

As the laps started to dwindle, the competition started to flare and the caution flag started to wave. When the caution came out on Lap 440, Gordon came to pit road for the final stop of the day. The car had enough fuel to make it to the finish. With a good handling car, Gordon stayed on the track for all of the remaining cautions. The No. 7 SPOT team finished the event as the first car two laps down in the 21st position.

“Today was a great day for us,” commented Robby Gordon. “We were excited to have SPOT as our primary sponsor this weekend and even more excited to bring home a good finish for them for their first race in NASCAR and as our primary sponsor. I believe that SPOT has a truly dynamic product, and I hope that we were able to connect with and educate the NASCAR fans about more about it.”

“Surviving at Bristol is always a challenge; I don’t care who you are. Leaving this race with a 21-st place finish and locked into the top-35 in points is great for our team. Our car was strong all day, and we were able to learn about the handling throughout the race. Without testing, it’s very important for us to be able to learn about the car during the race and use that to improve for future events. Martinsville is coming up next week, so hopefully we can use today’s experience to improve our run at that short track,” concluded Gordon.

The Sprint Cup Series moves to Martinsville Speedway for the Goody’s Fast Relief 500. FOX will have live television coverage of the event beginning at 1:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, March 29. Radio coverage will be provided by MRN and Sirius Satellite Radio at 1:15 p.m. EST. Qualifying for the event will be televised on SPEED at 3:30 p.m. EST on Friday, March 27.
